Terms of service
Last updated: 27 July 2026
These Terms of Service explain the conditions that apply when you visit our website, submit a catering enquiry or place an order with us.
Please read these terms carefully before ordering. By placing an order through our website, you confirm that you have read and accepted these terms.
These terms should be read alongside our:
- Refund and Cancellation Policy;
- Privacy Policy;
- Delivery and Collection Policy; and
- any product-specific information displayed on our website.
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory consumer rights.
1. About us
This website and online store are operated by:
Bradleys of Maghera, trading as Bradley’s Catering
Address:
19 Coleraine Road
Maghera
BT46 5AA
United Kingdom
Email: catering@bradleysofmaghera.com
In these terms, “Bradleys of Maghera”, “Bradley’s Catering”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Bradleys of Maghera.
“You” and “your” refer to the person placing an order, submitting an enquiry or using our website.
2. Who these terms apply to
These terms apply when you:
- visit or use our website;
- place an order for food or catering products;
- arrange local delivery or collection;
- order Sunday Lunch products;
- submit a catering enquiry;
- request or accept a catering quotation; or
- otherwise purchase products or services from us through the website.
You must have the legal capacity to enter into a contract. If you are under 18, an adult should place the order on your behalf.
If you place an order on behalf of another person, business or organisation, you confirm that you have authority to do so.
Larger events, corporate orders and individually quoted catering services may be subject to additional written terms. Where additional terms are agreed, they will take priority if they conflict with these general terms.
3. Using our website
You must not:
- use our website for an unlawful or fraudulent purpose;
- interfere with the operation or security of the website;
- introduce viruses, malicious code or other harmful material;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website or another customer’s account;
- submit false, inaccurate or misleading information;
- collect information about other users without permission;
- copy or commercially exploit our website content without permission; or
- place orders without a genuine intention to pay for and receive them.
We may restrict access to the website, refuse an order or take other reasonable action where we believe the website is being misused.
4. Product and menu information
We take reasonable care to ensure that product descriptions, menus, prices, photographs and other information displayed on our website are accurate.
Photographs are provided as a guide. Because our food is freshly prepared, its appearance, presentation, arrangement and exact finish may vary from the photographs shown.
Product availability may be affected by:
- seasonal availability;
- supplier availability;
- ingredient changes;
- customer demand;
- production capacity; and
- circumstances outside our reasonable control.
You should read the complete product description and select all required options before ordering.
Please contact us before placing an order if you require clarification about:
- a product;
- portion sizes;
- menu choices;
- ingredients;
- delivery or collection arrangements; or
- whether a product is suitable for your requirements.
5. Allergies and dietary requirements
We provide information about the regulated allergens used as ingredients in our food.
For food ordered online or by telephone, allergen information must be available before the order is completed and again when the food is supplied.
If you or anyone consuming the order has an allergy, intolerance, coeliac disease or another medical dietary requirement, you should:
- review the allergen information provided;
- contact us before placing the order;
- clearly explain the relevant allergy or dietary requirement; and
- wait for us to confirm whether we can accommodate the request.
Do not rely solely on the general order-notes box to communicate a serious allergy.
An allergy or dietary request is not accepted until we have expressly confirmed that we can accommodate it.
Our kitchen handles a range of allergens. Although we use appropriate allergen-management and food-safety procedures, accidental cross-contact may still be possible.
We will not describe a product as completely free from a particular allergen unless we are satisfied that we can support that statement.
Where we cannot safely accommodate an allergy or dietary request, we may decline the affected product or order.
Nothing in this section reduces our responsibility to:
- provide accurate allergen information;
- take reasonable care when preparing food;
- follow food-safety requirements; or
- supply products that are safe and as described.
If you provide allergy or dietary information about another person, you confirm that you have their permission to share it with us.
6. Catering enquiries and quotations
Submitting a catering enquiry does not reserve a date or create a confirmed booking.
A catering booking is only confirmed when:
- we have confirmed availability;
- the menu and quantities have been agreed;
- delivery or collection arrangements have been agreed;
- the price has been agreed; and
- we have confirmed the booking in writing.
Bradleys of Maghera does not require a deposit for catering bookings.
The full price and any applicable payment deadline will be stated in the quotation, order confirmation or other written communication provided by us.
A quotation is subject to availability and is valid for any period stated in the quotation. If no validity period is stated, prices and availability may change until the quotation is accepted and the booking is confirmed.
Changes requested after a quotation or booking has been accepted may affect:
- the total price;
- menu availability;
- preparation requirements;
- staffing;
- delivery arrangements; and
- our ability to fulfil the order.
We will explain and agree any additional charge before accepting a material change.
7. Placing an online order
You are responsible for checking your order before payment, including:
- the products selected;
- quantities;
- fillings, sides and other product options;
- delivery or collection method;
- delivery or collection date;
- collection time;
- delivery address;
- telephone number;
- dietary and allergy information; and
- any additional instructions.
When you submit an order, you are making an offer to purchase the products shown in your basket.
A contract is formed when we accept the order and send an order confirmation or otherwise confirm acceptance.
An automated acknowledgement that we have received your order does not prevent us from contacting you if:
- a product is unavailable;
- payment has not been authorised;
- the selected date or time is unavailable;
- there is an obvious error; or
- we cannot safely or reasonably fulfil the order.
Please contact us promptly if your confirmation contains an error.
8. Accepting or declining an order
We may decline an order before acceptance where reasonably necessary, including where:
- a product or ingredient is unavailable;
- we do not have capacity to fulfil the order;
- the selected date or collection time is no longer available;
- the delivery address is outside our delivery area;
- payment cannot be authorised;
- the information provided is incomplete or inaccurate;
- the order appears fraudulent;
- there is an obvious pricing or product-description error;
- the order breaches these terms; or
- we cannot safely accommodate an allergy or dietary requirement.
If payment has already been taken for an order that we cannot accept, we will refund the amount paid.
After accepting an order, we will only cancel it where reasonably necessary, for example because of:
- an unexpected supply failure;
- equipment failure;
- serious staff illness or emergency;
- unsafe weather or travel conditions;
- a power or utility failure; or
- another circumstance outside our reasonable control.
Where we cancel an accepted order, we will offer an appropriate:
- alternative;
- revised collection or delivery arrangement;
- rescheduled date; or
- refund for anything we cannot supply.
9. Prices and payment
All prices are shown in pounds sterling.
Prices include VAT where applicable.
Any delivery charge or other mandatory fee will be shown before you complete your order.
The price charged will normally be the price displayed when you submit the order.
We may change prices for future orders at any time. Price changes will not normally affect an order that we have already accepted.
The price of an accepted order may only change where:
- you ask us to change the order;
- we agree the change with you;
- additional products or services are added; or
- the displayed price was an obvious error that a reasonable customer should have recognised.
Payment must be made using one of the payment methods available through the website or otherwise agreed with us.
We do not currently issue or accept gift cards.
For online orders, full payment will normally be taken at checkout.
For individually quoted catering orders, the full price and payment deadline will be stated in the quotation or booking confirmation. We do not require a deposit.
10. Availability and substitutions
All products and menu options are subject to availability.
If a product, ingredient or packaging item becomes unavailable after an order has been placed, we may contact you to offer:
- a suitable alternative;
- an amended order;
- removal of the affected item;
- a partial refund; or
- cancellation of the affected item.
We will not make a material substitution that significantly changes the nature, price or declared allergen content of a product without your agreement.
Minor changes to presentation or packaging may be made where they do not materially affect:
- the nature of the product;
- its quality;
- its quantity; or
- its allergen information.
11. Advance-order requirements
Unless the relevant product page clearly states otherwise, outside-catering orders require at least 48 hours’ notice.
Some products, larger orders or individually prepared menus may require more notice.
The applicable advance-order requirement will be displayed:
- on the product page;
- during selection of the delivery or collection date;
- at checkout;
- in the quotation; or
- in the booking confirmation.
Available dates and times may become unavailable as our production or delivery capacity is filled.
An order is not confirmed merely because a particular date or time appeared available before the order was completed.
12. Sunday Lunch orders
Sunday Lunch products are separate from our general outside-catering range.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, Sunday Lunch products are:
- available for collection only;
- available only on the Sundays shown during ordering;
- subject to the ordering cut-off displayed on the website; and
- subject to available collection times and production capacity.
You must select an available collection time before completing a Sunday Lunch order.
Sunday Lunch orders must be collected from the location shown in the order confirmation during the selected collection time.
Sunday Lunch products may need to be ordered separately from general outside-catering products where the products have different:
- preparation periods;
- collection dates;
- collection times; or
- fulfilment arrangements.
Where mixed orders are not permitted, you must complete the Sunday Lunch and outside-catering orders separately.
13. Local delivery
Local delivery is only available:
- within the delivery area accepted by our website;
- on the available dates and times shown;
- where the applicable preparation period has been met; and
- where any minimum-order or delivery-charge requirement has been satisfied.
You must provide:
- a complete and accurate delivery address;
- the correct postcode;
- a working telephone number;
- relevant access instructions; and
- any other information reasonably required to complete the delivery safely.
You must ensure that someone is available to receive the order during the selected delivery window.
We will take reasonable steps to deliver within the agreed delivery window. However, delivery times may occasionally be affected by:
- traffic;
- road closures;
- severe weather;
- delays at previous deliveries;
- access difficulties; or
- other circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Please contact us before ordering where delivery by an exact time is essential for an event. An exact delivery time is only guaranteed where we have expressly agreed it in writing.
If we cannot complete delivery because:
- the address is incorrect or incomplete;
- nobody is available to receive the order;
- we cannot contact you;
- access is unsafe or unavailable; or
- important access information was not supplied,
we will make reasonable attempts to contact you.
A further delivery charge may apply if another delivery attempt is possible.
Because catering orders contain freshly prepared and perishable food, a refund may not be available where the order was correctly prepared but could not be delivered because of circumstances caused by the customer.
Any amount retained will reflect the reasonable costs and losses arising from the failed delivery.
14. Collection orders
Collection orders must be collected:
- from the collection location stated in the order confirmation;
- on the agreed date; and
- during the selected collection time or collection window.
Please bring your order number or another means of identifying the order.
Contact us as soon as possible if you expect to be late.
Because the food is freshly prepared and perishable:
- we cannot guarantee its temperature, quality or condition after the agreed collection period;
- some products may need to be disposed of for food-safety reasons if they remain uncollected; and
- a refund may not be available where the order was correctly prepared but was not collected.
Nothing in this section affects your rights where the order was:
- faulty;
- unsafe;
- incorrect;
- incomplete; or
- not as described.
15. Changes and cancellations by the customer
Contact us as soon as possible if you need to amend or cancel an order.
Email: catering@bradleysofmaghera.com
Please include:
- your name;
- order number;
- delivery or collection date;
- collection time, where applicable; and
- details of the requested change.
We will do our best to accommodate changes, but changes may not be possible after:
- ingredients have been purchased specifically for the order;
- preparation has begun;
- staffing or delivery arrangements have been committed;
- the ordering cut-off has passed; or
- the order is close to its agreed delivery or collection time.
Freshly prepared and perishable food is generally excluded from the standard online change-of-mind cancellation right because it is liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly.
Where an order is cancelled, any refund will depend on:
- when the cancellation was requested;
- whether preparation has started;
- whether ingredients were purchased specifically for the order;
- whether those ingredients can reasonably be reused;
- whether staffing or delivery costs have been incurred; and
- the reasonable losses directly caused by the cancellation.
A cancellation charge or retained payment must be reasonable and should reflect actual losses rather than operate as an automatic penalty. Businesses are also expected to take reasonable steps to reduce their losses.
Further information is provided in our Refund and Cancellation Policy.
16. Problems with an order
Please inspect your order promptly after delivery or collection.
Contact us as soon as possible if:
- an item is missing;
- an incorrect item was supplied;
- the food is damaged or spoiled;
- the order is materially different from its description;
- an agreed dietary requirement has not been followed;
- allergen information appears incorrect; or
- there is another quality or food-safety concern.
Where possible, provide:
- your order number;
- a description of the issue;
- photographs of the affected item;
- the relevant packaging or label; and
- details of how the food was transported or stored after collection or delivery.
If you believe any food may be unsafe, do not consume it.
Depending on the circumstances, we may provide:
- a replacement;
- a corrected item;
- a partial refund;
- a full refund; or
- another appropriate resolution.
Products supplied to consumers must be of satisfactory quality, fit for an agreed purpose and match their description. These legal rights cannot be removed by website terms.
17. Food storage, handling and reheating
You are responsible for following any instructions provided with the order concerning:
- refrigeration;
- freezing;
- use-by dates;
- reheating;
- serving;
- transportation after collection; and
- safe disposal.
Chilled food should be refrigerated promptly after delivery or collection unless it is intended for immediate consumption.
Once an order has been delivered or collected, we are not responsible for deterioration caused by:
- unsuitable transportation;
- unsuitable storage;
- extended time at room temperature;
- failure to follow reheating instructions;
- contamination after supply; or
- consumption after a stated use-by date.
This does not affect our responsibility for a defect, safety issue or other problem that existed when the food was supplied.
18. Promotions and discount codes
Promotions and discount codes:
- are subject to any conditions displayed with the offer;
- must be entered before payment is completed;
- cannot normally be applied retrospectively;
- may be limited to particular products, dates or customers;
- may not be combined unless expressly stated; and
- may be withdrawn or changed for future orders.
We may refuse or cancel a discount obtained through:
- misuse;
- fraud;
- manipulation of the website; or
- an obvious technical or pricing error.
We will not retrospectively remove a valid discount from an accepted order unless the customer knew, or should reasonably have known, that it resulted from an obvious error.
19. Website errors
Occasionally, our website may contain:
- typographical errors;
- incorrect availability information;
- inaccurate product details;
- incorrect prices; or
- technical problems.
We may correct errors and update information at any time.
If an error affects an order you have submitted, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible.
Where the correct price or product is materially different, you may choose to:
- proceed with the corrected information; or
- cancel the affected item and receive a refund.
We will not be required to supply a product at an obviously incorrect price where a reasonable customer should have recognised that an error had occurred.
20. Intellectual property
The website and its content, including:
- text;
- branding;
- photographs;
- graphics;
- product descriptions;
- menus;
- logos; and
- design elements,
are owned by or licensed to Bradleys of Maghera.
You may view and use the website for personal and legitimate business-ordering purposes.
You must not copy, reproduce, distribute, publish, sell or commercially exploit our content without prior written permission, except where permitted by law.
21. Third-party services and links
Our website uses third-party services, including Shopify and providers used for:
- payment processing;
- product options;
- enquiry forms;
- delivery and collection scheduling;
- website hosting;
- analytics; and
- other website functions.
Those providers may have their own terms and privacy notices.
We are not responsible for the content or operation of an unrelated third-party website merely because our website contains a link to it.
However, using a third-party provider does not remove our responsibility to fulfil our own contractual and legal obligations to you.
22. Website availability
We aim to keep our website available, secure and accurate, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access.
We may temporarily suspend, restrict or alter the website because of:
- maintenance;
- security concerns;
- technical problems;
- software updates; or
- circumstances outside our control.
We are not responsible for a customer being unable to submit an order where no contract has yet been formed.
Orders that have already been accepted will continue to be handled in accordance with these terms.
23. Our responsibility to you
We are responsible for foreseeable loss or damage caused by:
- our breach of these terms; or
- our failure to use reasonable care and skill.
We are not responsible for loss or damage that:
- was not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was formed;
- resulted from inaccurate information supplied by you;
- resulted from your failure to follow food-storage or reheating instructions;
- resulted from changes made to the food after it was supplied; or
- was caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our responsibility for:
- death or personal injury caused by negligence;
- fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
- unsafe or faulty products;
- products that are not as described;
- breach of your statutory consumer rights; or
- anything else that cannot legally be excluded.
Terms attempting to exclude responsibility for death, injury, faulty goods or goods that are not as described cannot be enforced against consumers.
24. Events outside our reasonable control
We will not be responsible for delay or failure caused by an event outside our reasonable control, such as:
- severe weather;
- road closures;
- fire or flooding;
- utility failure;
- equipment breakdown;
- government restrictions;
- a serious supplier failure that could not reasonably have been avoided;
- serious staff illness or emergency; or
- disruption to payment or technology services.
We will contact you as soon as reasonably possible and take reasonable steps to minimise the effect.
Where we cannot fulfil a material part of an order, we will offer an appropriate:
- alternative;
- revised arrangement;
- rescheduled date; or
- refund for the part that cannot be supplied.
25. Personal information
We handle personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
This includes information used to:
- process orders;
- arrange delivery or collection;
- respond to catering enquiries;
- communicate about bookings;
- manage allergy or dietary information;
- prevent fraud; and
- comply with legal obligations.
26. Complaints
Please contact us if you are dissatisfied with an order, delivery, collection or other service.
Email: catering@bradleysofmaghera.com
Please provide:
- your name;
- order number;
- contact details;
- a description of the issue;
- any relevant photographs; and
- the resolution you are seeking.
We will investigate the matter and respond as soon as reasonably possible.
27. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms to reflect changes to:
- our products or services;
- website functionality;
- operational practices;
- delivery or collection arrangements; or
- legal requirements.
Updated terms will be published on our website with a revised “last updated” date.
Changes will normally apply only to orders placed after the updated terms are published.
They will not retrospectively alter an existing accepted order unless:
- the change is required by law;
- the change benefits you; or
- we agree the change with you.
28. Severability
If a court or other relevant authority decides that part of these terms is unlawful, invalid or unenforceable, the remaining sections will continue to apply.
29. No waiver
If we do not immediately enforce a right under these terms, this does not mean that we have waived or given up that right.
30. Entire agreement
These terms, together with the policies and information referred to within them, form the agreement between you and us concerning your order.
Nothing in this section excludes responsibility for a statement made fraudulently or prevents you from relying on information that legally forms part of the contract.
31. Governing law
These terms and any related contract are governed by the laws of Northern Ireland.
The courts of Northern Ireland will have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory rights that allow a consumer to bring proceedings in another part of the United Kingdom.
